Busy Summer in the Studio

I’ve been hard at work on the upcoming album, which I am hoping will include eleven original tracks. After laying down the main acoustic and vocal tracks with the help of several students, the drums were tracked last week by fellow chemistry professor and drumming machine, Michael Gaylor.

This week, I have been working on adding more guitar and vocal parts, and shaping the mixes together. It’s sometimes a tedious and frustrating process, but can be really rewarding when you come away with a solid mix at the end of the day. We’re prepping for a return to Wisconsin for Cassie to have her gallery show in Milwaukee, so I’ll be picking back up on the project when we return, and hopefully finishing by the beginning of the school year. Just gotta keep on plugging away!
